The easiest way is ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity: add Leeway, sign in, and start asking questions. Other connection options are available below.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity connect to your Leeway account via OAuth. You only add the server URL; sign-in and consent happen in the browser. No API token to copy; internally your existing token and quota are used.
Choose the assistant in which the Leeway tools should appear. The next steps depend on that client and on its plan.
Custom MCP apps in ChatGPT depend on the plan and on workspace permissions. Choose the plan you actually work with.
The website is the recommended path. Custom connectors are available there. You connect the desktop app with an API token. The mobile app does not offer connectors.
Custom apps currently require Gemini Spark and an eligible personal Google account in the United States.
Custom connectors in Perplexity are available only on paid plans.
The free ChatGPT plan does not offer custom MCP apps. Choose another plan or another client.
These steps apply to ChatGPT on the Plus, Pro and Team plans. You enable Developer mode and create the app yourself.

Before you use the client, top up your wallet or book an API package for market data.
In a new chat, open the tools menu and select the app. Custom MCP apps are available on the web, not in the mobile app.

Cursor, VS Code, Claude Desktop with the local bridge, OpenAPI clients and other clients need an API token. Create a free account and copy the token from your account area.
Custom GPTs, Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code and every other MCP client connect with an API token. Open the section for your client to see the full instructions including the configuration.
Assistants that don't support MCP can be connected using our OpenAPI specification. You provide the JSON schema and authenticate via a query parameter.
